Major L. Clark III is an attorney, executive coach, governance advisor, and graduate faculty member with search committee experience at the academic-leadership level, including dean and department chair searches. He will assist with designing an evaluation framework attentive to governance, mission, legal/compliance considerations, Executive Coaching, and selection and interviewing. Major is also an Adjunct Professor, Organizational Development for the Graduate Management Program at the University of Maryland Global Campus. He was the former Dean of Urban Studies at Morgan State University. He earned his juris doctor and master’s degrees from the University of Iowa and his bachelor’s degree in urban studies from A&T University. He is a certified Associate Certified Coach (ACC) by the International Federation of Coaching as an Associate Coach, (ICF), Internal Federal Coaching Program, and the Institute for Coaching Innovation program. Major was also the former president and owner of two small businesses. Major specializes in Effective Leadership, Emotional Intelligence, Small Business Development, Entrepreneurship, Inclusion, and Project Management. His coaching clients include Comcast, University of Maryland Medical School, SBA, and U.S. Veterans.

Ms. Royster served as Director of Contracts for the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and former Director of Acquisition and Agreements Management at NIST. She has over 25 years of acquisition experience with the U.S. Coast Guard, Department of Transportation, and Department of Commerce.

Cheryl serves as Vice President, Digital Policy at the United States Council for International Business. She was previously President of Sunset Point Creative Group, where she focused on creative content, design, advertising, and intellectual property rights.

Susan brings over 20 years of diverse professional experience. She began as a software developer for Department of Defense satellite communications systems, served as an assessor for the Software Engineering Institute Capability Maturity Model, and later managed a large multi-state Department of Defense contract.

Alysha is an award-winning human resources, recruitment, and operations leader with more than 15 years of experience helping organizations attract top talent, build strong teams, and create people-centered workplaces. She has supported startups, nonprofits, healthcare organizations, technology companies, and mission-driven businesses across Canada and the United States. Alysha has led full-cycle recruitment for roles ranging from entry-level and high-volume positions to senior leadership and highly specialized technical and healthcare roles. 7 experience includes developing recruitment strategies, sourcing and screening candidates, improving interview and selection processes, building employer brands, supporting compensation negotiations, and creating onboarding programs that improve the candidate and employee experience. Throughout her career, she has recruited and supported hundreds of employees, managed complex workforce initiatives, and helped organizations strengthen retention, culture, compliance, and operational performance. Alysha is also a four-time award-winning author and was recognized as the 2022 DEI Leader of the Year by the International Association of Top Professionals.

Jan’s 38 years of experience spans both corporate and non-profit entities. She has led the process of merging various cultures and has held senior Human Resources and Organizational Development leadership positions. Assist with Candidate sourcing, employer branding, and search execution. Jan brings dedicated expertise in candidate sourcing, employer branding, and professional-level search execution. She will lead dynamic sourcing and outreach into clinical, academic, and nonprofit executive networks to surface passive candidates who might not respond to a standard posting. Jan has helped numerous clients throughout the Mid-Atlantic establish values-based organizations and develop effective leaders and team members.
